The engine behind the screen — where orders are processed, data is stored, and other systems plug in. This is where I spend most of my time, and where most projects are won or lost.
Where your business data lives. I design schemas that stay understandable as the business changes, and write the queries that keep them fast when the tables get big.
The part your customers see and touch. Enough depth to build the whole product myself when a project needs it, and enough to define clean contracts when a frontend team owns it.

05 — career
From tutoring C++ and Java at university to leading architecture on client systems and founding a SaaS platform.
Jan 2026 — present
End-to-end delivery for businesses and startups: requirements analysis through to deployment and post-launch support. Acting as technical lead and solution architect — designing scalable backends in .NET and Node.js, normalized database schemas, and handling client consultation and scope definition directly.
Alongside client work: co-founded and independently engineered Warshaty.io, and serve as IT administrator and technology consultant for Wadi Kore, managing Microsoft 365, user accounts, email services, and cloud resources.
Sep 2025 — Jan 2026
Built scalable backend services in NestJS and PostgreSQL, with a focus on API design and performance. Designed and optimised complex queries, relations, and schemas; contributed to microservice architecture; refactored legacy systems; and worked alongside the React frontend team in an Agile workflow.
Led one microservice end to end, including its database design and structure, and established the coding standards used for team consistency and onboarding.
Mar 2025 — Sep 2025
Built RESTful APIs in .NET and MSSQL following OOP and clean architecture principles, with dependency injection and modular backend structures. Deployed to Azure, defined API contracts with frontend teams, contributed to AI-powered tools using Azure OpenAI, and maintained CMS-based systems in Drupal and CodeIgniter.
Mar 2021 — Mar 2025
Four years across the full stack: responsive apps, websites, and CMS platforms on the frontend; Laravel 8+ backends following OOP and MVC with MySQL and MSSQL; and Drupal work ranging from custom themes built from scratch to headless setups feeding Vue and Angular frontends.
Delivered three financing applications, a fully functional 3D website using Laravel and Three.js, two Drupal sites and two proof-of-concept projects, while maintaining five more. Worked with major Malaysian brands including Telekom Malaysia, Perodua, and Milo Malaysia, and wrote the documentation and training that let clients manage their own platforms.
Mar 2017 — Mar 2021
Tutored object-oriented programming in C++ and Java, reviewed student code and gave feedback on how to improve it, and re-taught lectures with a visual, code-tracing approach when a concept had not landed. Supervised lab tests and exams.
what's next
Five years of engineering has taught me that the hardest problems are rarely the code. They are the ones decided earlier — what to build, for whom, in what order, and how a team agrees on it. That is the work I am increasingly drawn to.
So alongside engineering, I am open to roles on the other side of the whiteboard: product ownership, project management, data and analytics, and technical leadership. I am also open to teaching. I spent four years as a programming tutor and wrote my master's research on how to make introductory programming easier to understand, so a university lecturing post would be a return to something I already know I am good at.

Warshaty is built for the workshop, not the car owner. Most tools in this space are aimed at the customer booking a service; the person actually running the business is left with paper job cards, a whiteboard, and no idea what the month looks like until it is over.
The platform gives the owner or manager the view they never had: revenue as it accrues, which jobs are open and stalled, how each worker is performing, and what every vehicle that came through has cost.
The goal is to be the number one workshop management platform in the Middle East. It is in private alpha now, with new functionality deployed monthly while we gather real usage data from the first workshops.

The global portal for Telekom Malaysia, delivered at Trinergy Digital. A site carrying an international brand has two audiences that pull in opposite directions: visitors who need it to look considered, and a content team who need to change it without calling a developer.

A platform for coordinating a cooperative's projects and members. Systems like this are never finished — every quarter brings a new way the organisation wants to work — so the structure underneath matters more than any single feature.
This is the stack I reach for on new work — typed end to end, modular, and cheap to extend.

An internal process that had outgrown its tooling, at a company where the system will be in use long after the people who commissioned it have moved on. That makes the data model the most important decision in the project.
